No wonder the coach has had his problems. How is this for a quote?

“The disappointing thing was the three tries they did score were individual system errors." – Sea Eagles coach Anthony Seibold.

In other words, your players blundered.

We need a wrestling coach.
and an attack coach.
Other than that we aren't too far off
Schuster may end up the worst player in the world (joking, but ...run the ball! All his runners are easy pickings becuase the defence knows he won't run it himself. It's bloody weird)
It’s one of Schuster’s lifelong dreams to be the worst player in the world.

Let’s hope that that desire comes to pass at another club.

Playing talent aside, the issue last night was the Cows are clearly trained and play to milk and maximize returns from the current rules and interpretations from referees. They've worked out and play to what referees will and won't do.

Conversely, Manly players when tackled don't agitate for advantages, six agains and penalties, and in defence Manly's attempts at slowing down the play the ball are so obvious they belong in the early 2000s era.

Cows first try last night was from the tackled player taking a few subtle steps forward when he got up, that left Jake half getting up & called out by the referee as he couldn't get to marker, and Cows took off upfield through some other ordinary defence.

When Croker took the quick tap and bolted away to 20m out from the Cows line, Drinkwater tackled him twice and then held down. No referee, bunker or commentators said anything about a penalty or sin bin. Nothing.

That Manly scored a try a few plays later doesn't excuse it.

Drinkwater scores a try for Cows when he should have been in the bin.

But its Manly, so who cares. A Tigers or Dogs player gets binned every day of the week for far less.

Can see Croker tackled twice and held down.

individual system sounds like an oxymoron. More word scrabble mumbo jumbo. Seems his way of explaining poor performances is to speak in riddles.

Have to give Manly credit for largely hanging in there and good scrambling defence but such an uncoordinated structure in attack cruelled their chances again . Cowboys engage a fairly effective and in your face defence but not as if Manly do not still have the attacking ability to counter this .
Just can not seem to get the timing and right running formations to best utilize it .
Quite a few explanations for the shortcomings and was the difference again last night .
Have problems also with those extra one percenters from some players and when it really matters .
Shame that Sipley had that slight head knock to let Holmes ran straight past him at a crucial time and noticed that Bully was just ambling to keep up with play when he could have normally had Cotter covered and to very likely prevent a try ,. Not to single him out but just an example again of how that extra effort can be a big deal .
A game never really out of reach entirely but just could not get their game together when it mattered Tippytoes and Alioia seemed to go much better , [ well in Alioia case relatively better ] Another mighty effort by Jake but looked jaded at times and quite understandable and should have been given a rest at some stage .
Would give Matterson a go at 13 , move Jake to prop , even be inclined to give latu Fainu a go at 6 [ of course unlikely ] the Shu is really not offering much there
Maybe a bit injured but is going into the pack next season , so may as well happen now .
Paseka and Haumole still the key forwards , could see the difference in the bench quality between the two sides . Bring on Sam Fainu .
Great effort and attitude from Garrick, glad that he was retained . Turbo undoubtedly does make a difference but just have to do better competing without him
Guess that it has to be taken into account that the Cowboys got very close to G F appearance last season with virtually the same outfit . The fact that Manly were within reach last night but largely let themselves down in some areas just adds to an again quite disappointing season

Unthinkable comeback flips NRL on its head

Sea Eagles Judiciary News:

Sea Eagles fullback Reuben Garrick was the only charge from Saturday's match after he was cited for a trip on Cowboys centre Valentine Holmes in the 26th minute. He faces a fine of $750-$1000.

I'm not buying this. You can't tell me a team who couldn't beat dirt out of a rug for half the season and got flogged by 66 points by the Tigers turned it around in 1 week and are giant killers beating Storm, Panthers, Souths and who now play non stop at 100 mph. I'm not drinking the kool- aide here. They've been to the Hulk Hogan school of say your prayers eat your vitamins and get juiced up. This stinks of the 1997 Knights junkies all over.

You are 100% on the money.

The NRL should have a chief steward who should investigate these form reversals. Questions should be asked .. THERE NEEDS TO BE AN INVESTIGATION INTO THIS.

People accepting these results are mugs and fools.

Recently Melbourne got smashed by these Cow-cheats by 25 and the next week beat the Sharks by 44. Honestly does any believe that is possible.

Another demonstration of a few keys things:
1. Our attack is non existent without Turbo
2. We won’t win games until we win the ruck
3. Croker needs helps off the bench
4. Woods / Aloai need to make way
