Game Day: Manly v Raiders [Round 13, 2016]

So Tommy T to centre and Wright to the wing?? Could be worse.
Late Mail on SuperCoach Talk (which is usually pretty reliable) says Wright straight into centre, although I would think Tom T to centre and Wirght on the wing. Also states Taufua won't be a late inclusion due to picking up an infection in his shoulder, and that BJ will start with Myles to the bench.

Well given the last 24 hours, what can we expect from the Sea Eagles tonight??

Will it galvanise them together to do better??

or

Will it be the complete opposite??

I really wonder at the space their heads might be in at present, although if its all just media speculation off a throw away comment made by a big gambler, then it may well bind them together.

Thoughts everyone.

That's the big question today. At least they're already in Canberra and away from most of the hype (footy-wise, that is, not political lol).

I'd like to think the positive that it will galvanise them, the old Manly culture would come our firing at a time like this. Unfortunately we lost that us against them and the Manly culture / mindset is currently gone. We haven't seen anything like that this season or last season and I wouldn't expect any difference tonight.

I just read Jorge out for a further 4-6 weeks after further problems with the shoulder requiring surgery... This can't be real, right?

If we lose another 3 grades this week, I'm done for the year (I'm sure you guys will be hoping now). No more posting. Nothing.

I wonder if the boys hit the Canberra casino and the night clubs last night in preparation for a big effort tonight ( not even sure they gave a casino but you'll get the gist of the post).

I know you're joking, but my faith and trust in the team are at an all time low, from top to bottom, including both the on field and off field performance.

The last day or so should bring out our best. Like Idi Amin always said...

"The best way to bring a group of people together is to have them huddle in fear".

That's even funnier if you read it in his accent. Even that cracks me up!!! I can't believe Idi owned a Hyundai. I wouldn't read anything in his car 😕

Actually, I don't think we'll be afraid of anything, so we may cop a flogging!

Nah. Manly by 12!!!

Top tip; If you can't laugh, there's no use crying! @:D

What if firsts and reserves get lapped but the young fella's snatch a draw in the dying seconds? Will that keep you hanging in there?

Yes, but another 3 losses, and it's see ya later.

We are 9 wins in 45 rounds of footy across the grades. 9 from 48 is 18% win ratio. But 3 grades, and I'll come back mid march next year - if we look to be showing a bit more integrity on and off the park.

I'm about done with Rugby League fullstop. NHL draft is coming, and Swans are spiking my interest atm.

Agree 100 per cent. In reality you don't spend time on a site like this if it isn't a big part of your life. Every club goes through trauma. If half our side were convicted tomorrow, I would still be nervously waiting for kick off next week against the Panthers.Being Manly is ingrained in us.The club will rise again.

As Terry Randall says, sometimes you need a crisis to clear the decks and get on with it.
