A wealth of international experience combined with a mixture of youth make up the new signings for the Sea Eagles in 2016. Here is a list of the new recruits who will play under Head Coach Trent Barrett.

Nate Myles

Signed for three years from Gold Coast Titans, Nate is one of the Club’s biggest signing for 2016. He remains one of the most hardened front-rowers in the NRL, having played 204 first grade games. Nate has played 29 Origin matches for Queensland, 9 Tests for Australia, and two World Cup matches in the green and gold. His experience and leadership skills will be invaluable.

Martin Taupau

Signed for four years, Martin is one of the most dominant forwards in rugby league. His signing is one of the Club's biggest since Malcolm Reilly. Martin has played seven Tests for New Zealand and his aggression and toughness will add plenty of starch to the forward pack. His impact will be enormous.

Lewis Brown

Signed for three years from Penrith, Lewis has played 150 first grade games and 8 Tests for New Zealand. He brings toughness and enormous experience to the Sea Eagles. A talented back-rower with great ball skills, Lewis can also cover centre, wing and hooker.

Apisai Koroisau

Signed for three years from Penrith, Apisai is a Fijian international who played hooker in South Sydney’s Grand Final victory in 2014. With 30 first grade matches behind him, Apisai is also a talented five-eighth.

Darcy Lussick

Darcy returns to the Sea Eagles on a new three-year deal. A Manly junior, Darcy has played 84 first grade matches since his NRL debut in the maroon and white in 2011 before joining Parramatta. Darcy provides good ball skills and solid defence.

Matt Parcell

Signed for three years from Brisbane Broncos, Matt is an outstanding hooker who set the Queensland Cup competition alight with his brilliance for Premiers Ipswich Jets. Scored five tries in a Semi Final against Easts Tigers and is tipped to have a massive future in the NRL. He can also cover five-eighth.

Tim Moltzen

Signed for one year from Wests Tigers. Tim will be hoping a new club will help restart his NRL career after a terrible run of injuries in recent seasons. At his best, Tim is a player with tremendous skills and an ability to break the line. He can play full-back, five-eighth and half-back.

Nathan Green

Signed for one year from St George Illawarra Dragons, Nathan is a talented centre/second-rower, who will be looking to find a permanent position after playing four games on the wing in 2015.

Tom Wright

Signed for three years, Tom was the most exciting schoolboy rugby prospect in Australia in 2015, with the Sea Eagles beating several NRL clubs for his signature. He can cover many positions but predominately is a five-eighth. His attacking skills will excite supporters.

John Walker

Signed for two years from schoolboy rugby, John hails from Scone and attended St Augustine’s College, Brookvale, on an Australian Rugby Union scholarship. He has played representative rugby for NSW.

Fabian Goodall

Signed for one year, Fabian is a centre who can also play second-row. He returns home to the Sea Eagles from the Parramatta Eels after playing NYC for Manly Warringah in 2012. Fabian represented Fiji against Lebanon in 2014.

I'm sorry if I'm slow. But how is Luke Williamson still coach. Anyone?
He did get them to the finals this year. And looking at the bigger picture, having a core of people around who have been associated with the club for a longish period is better than a complete cleanout. I'm sure the players enjoy having him there, as he is a likeable fellow and another link with the club's rise from the depths to premiership dominance last decade. My assumption is that he also performs well in his other role.

Is that THE Chris Bailey?
Apparently not. The other Chris Bailey is still walking on the Chinese Wall with his brother Phil. They're in regular contact with their dad Bill, who implores them to come home. Bill Bailey provides updates on their whereabouts on social media.

To be fair to be bozo it is not like he is a new member...also he is so over the top there has to be a troll element to it

No disrespect but what are Luke O'Donnell's qualifications for a strength and conditioning coach besides being an ex player?
Normally one would hold some human movement degree etc plus experience in that area.

ps Matt Ballin is a personal trainer and great club man. Why couldn't he be groomed for a position in that area? Could have killed two birds with one stone here. Looks like a complete clean out of anyone connected with Tooves' players and trainers etc.

Anyway won't have to worry about lining up defence opposition at training .....just bring in the coaching staff and other personnel, plenty of them. Must cost a heap.
Like that Seibold has a connection with the young talent coming through. Was apparently the Storm defence coach as well.

Hey guys, does anyone know why Steve Matai hasn't been at training? Mate of mine who works at fox sports says he was nowhere to be seen today and I heard he wasn't there yesterday either? He's also mysteriously absent from all membership promotional material.

Can only be one of two reasons

a) had minor surgery as from memory he had a busted nose and hand and has been given a couple of extra weeks off.

or b) the rumours he isn't happy and possible move to the sharks may have some legs?

Edit: Club has since taken to Twitter to clarify that he was present
