So the roosters blatantly are rorting the cap with the 500k offer and a car to Dce. Way below his market value. Now they have seven players doing coke but it’s ok for them to make the finals while we are a club in crisis each year and miss out.

A car salesman stick to what he said???I hope Nick sticks to his zero tolerance policy. That shows some real leadership and I applaud him for it, but this could be a test of his conviction.
You are right on the first point. How are they rorting the cap?
the NRL has valued DCE the 36-year-old at $400,000 in 2026, with his current contract expiring at the end of 2025.
The bigger issue is Seibold is such a schiit coach he wouldn't accept any offer from Manly.
that DCE will take 500k to ensure he has a chance of winning a premiership b4 he retires.
That is smart.
Im always thinking he’s the waiting for a mate guy from a few years back. Certainly similar formI always thought Brandon Smith looked like Tatoo/Herve Villachaize from Fantasy Island. "Look Boss! De Plane!!"
The latest report was DCE felt disrespected during contract talks and decided to go on TV and announce he was going to play anywhere else. The bigger issue is Seibold is such a schiit coach he wouldn't accept any offer from Manly.

Lol I was just about to make the same observation! This masthead has been told that Queensland Police allege that Smith unlawfully supplied a dangerous drug (cocaine) to Roosters player Victor Radley on June 7 while he was in the town of Currimundi. There is no suggestion of wrongdoing on Radley’s behalf.
Is it just me ... or is this actually a strong suggestion of wrongdoing by Victor by this masthead ???
To use a snooker termology, Nick and Robbo have well and truly snookered themselves. This masthead has been told that Queensland Police allege that Smith unlawfully supplied a dangerous drug (cocaine) to Roosters player Victor Radley on June 7 while he was in the town of Currimundi. Sounds like Victor allegedly asked Cheese to hook him up with some booger sugar while he & the other 6 Roosters players were on their golfing getaway on the Sunshine Coast, assuming because Cheese allegedly has a contact up there.
On a completely unrelated matter, a bloke here at work has been showing anyone who cares to look a photo on his phone of "his brother's mate" who "lives on the Sunshine Coast" having his photo taken at a pub with Teddy, Townsend, Savala, one of the Butcher brothers & Radley. There is no suggestion that the photo was taken on the Sunshine Coast, nor that the aforementioned players have done anything wrong, at least not by THIS masthead.

Then why did they recruit Smith in the first place, he had a bit of a drug cloud hanging over him before that. Or did they actually believe they lads were just waving bags of talc aroundI hope Nick sticks to his zero tolerance policy. That shows some real leadership and I applaud him for it, but this could be a test of his conviction.
It is frustrating how they cherry pick the “market value” rule. Given we offered him a two year deal at $700k per year, wouldn’t that indicate his market value is at least in that ball park? How are they rorting the cap?

I thought it was weird that the nrl came out and stated that Manly (and I thought it only applied to Manly) would be able to re-sign DCE on $400k. When have they ever come out and published that sort of info. Now it is clear why, uncle nick obviously requested they make that statement so that the rorters could then get away with a low ball offer which is just marginally more than what Manly could have signed him forHow are they rorting the cap?
