The Daly Cherrygraph

I noticed when DCE embraced his teammates on full time, the exchange with Tom was very brief by comparison with some of the others…could be reading into things too much though

Yeah as well as Koulas dbl movement. I might be wrong but doesn't it have to be grounded on or over the line for a dbl movement? Pretty sure he was short.
Yeah, that call was a shocker.
Never seen a double movement penalty for not a actually getting to the line - how many times have we seen and heard "lucky he came up short or he would've been pinged for a double movement"?
Would have been interesting if we'd have challenged it, they couldn't possibly uphold it.
How close to the try line do you have to get for it to be deemed a double movement?

From the games l saw the standard of refereeing in this round had some very poor decisions at crucial times.

The penalty that won the Dogs the game was an absolute howler!

On the contrary, It’s disappointing that no one in the call mentioned that Simpkin was incapable of pressuring Grant from marker because of the elbow…it was the correct call given it’s not only an act of foul play, it directly impacted our defensive line.

I also think Hoffman’s (obvious Melbourne bias) comments in the media that Grant made minimal contact with Brooks and it was a terrible decision are forgetting that it’s much like every other protective rule in the game, in that it’s designed to deter as a way of preventing injury. Sure, Brooks was fine but no penalty there says fair game to the rest of the NRL and an eventual broken leg or ankle down the track.

They generally are… I have been watching these since the Chez announcement and they are more formal and never seem to be high energy…

Good point.
And hopefully Simpkin is Ok and available for next game.

Turtle was different even running out against Storm. Something must have changed in his world during the week. What ever that may be, may it continue. It's shouldn't be to much to ask of a player to have a go should it.

Be interesting how much coin for any official contract if the almost inevitable move to the Roosters does occur . Of course a couple of after career inducements to play their part also no doubt
Then looks like Sandon Smith on the move and how to accommodate their current emerging half, ,a bit of an open question
Apart from Sam Walker as an assuming given in their starting side haves lineup ongoing
With origin out of the way now and that indication against the Storm that D C E has pretty much got into a much better groove , really should not matter again what his intentions are for next season

Yeah all good DCE I didn’t want you helping your other team out post career anyway 😭

Roosters sure know how to get anyone in and it’s a shame he’ll completely abandon us after this year but it’s been the worst kept secret
