So you think Snake is the real problem. So why is he still here? Shouldn't he have walked when his brother was pushed ? Contracts don't mean sht these days so there's no reason he couldn't have arced up and left.

Not so easy for Snake to walk out on a $600,000 season contract when there was virually no alternative club in Sydney looking for a fullback, and especially one aged 30 with chronic knee problems.
Probably the only real alternatives were the Raiders and Titans.

I don't think it always comes down to what a person says...I think a person can also lie/deceive by their actions. No one can convince me that Foran has played with the same level of commitment since his blow up last year.

Because he is quite simply disgracing the jumper in terms of effort.And pray tell me, does the fact that I may not have identified a few around him that are not pulling their weight absolve him of his responsibilities.

Are we to assume from that comment that as long as a few others are dogging it one of our supposed leaders and our highest paid player is quite entitled to do the same.

Surely we haven't reached the stage where "but he's dogging it too" is sufficient to explain his total lack of effort....obviously we have.

So basically what you are suggesting is our poor team performances are in the most part due to Forans lack of effort(not disagreeing or have ever debated the reduced effort part) because the way Fans are singling out Foran this appears to be the case.

It is a combination of not having the forwards, injuries, a lack of drive and personal pride in each ones own performance, too much politics filtering into the playing squad and a sense of entitlement within the squad(previous years) and in other areas of the club.

Does he look like he is sulking like a spoilt brat in some instances yes but not the only one that is for sure.

Wow we used to have a good team. Incredible years from 2005 to 2014 and 2011 to 2014 we were top four every year.

TC...As fans we have no input regarding our lack of forwards or even the political machinations of our current board but we can at least comment on the tangible (the game) and I think a few of us are just ticked off at something we see going on before our very eyes..So unless Foran is playing injured we can see a partial solution to our problems going to waste through lack of application.

I am not happy with our form or players leaving or management, but if it suits your argument to say so, fine.

I thought with the events of last Friday that it might be timely to consider how over-the-top we fans can become at times. In the name of 'passion' do we really want to defend all that?

And assassinating the character of the NZ Test Captain seems a tad over the top to me. Describing him as a liar and a cancer is rather bizarre in fact, he seems like a decent young man who has played very well for Manly for about 6 years.

Sure his form is now crap but some of you are treating him as though he is more despicable than the many dickheads and the several actual criminals who grace our great game.

So unless Foran is playing injured ...

I wouldn't be at all surprised to learn he has been doing just that.
But, as every first grader knows, you are judged on your performance and injury is no excuse. However, many players go out anyway knowing it won't do their reputation any good, simply to help the team, or other times under pressure from desperate coaches.

By the way, I won't defend Foran's form, and it wouldn't bother me if he was moved on immediately or dropped to reserve grade.

Foran has no where to run this season, he has agreed to go elsewhere yet is playing here for a season and logic says that he must have an eye on season 2016. I think the fans just want to see him play to his ability, I understand that he is returning from injury and it may take a while to get match fitness back but the current NRL system has made his position untenable with the fans and members. He might have a contract with us for this season but his heard and mind dont appear to be here.

Losing him to Parra is a massive blow, when you see a kid come through the ranks and then go when he is at the peak of his powers is so hard to cop, the reality is that young players in this generation do as they feel and the loyalty that we have been used to over the years does not apply anymore. I loved seeing him develop and become the player that he is but I really struggle that one of our enemies will now profit from this decision and I lament that the seed of his discontent was that our management as a club failed miserably in its attempts to manage player retention last year which has lead to all of this bad blood. The fact that the team is struggling so much is just a barometer of the fever pitch of emotions that we have when it comes to Foran and DCE.

I hope it can end on a decent note and that the club can some how rally and that the era can finish as we would all like it too with more success but it now comes down to the mindset of the halves and whether they can buy into the team for this season.

We have had the disruptive start from hell this season with such an injury toll and constant speculation about players moving ect. It would be nice to just go to a game and see everyone having a go and doing what we have seen so much of over the last decade.

I've said many things in this thread and I wouldn't retract one of them.

Brent Kite signed with the Panthers mid year, done with dignity, and at a players function I shook his hand and wished him well.

He , as much as the others , have been a victim of the salary cap.

Would I go to a players function , seek out Foz , shake his hand and wish him well ???

I'm always perplexed about players starting a game below par because of injury. Either they tell the coaching staff "she'll be sweet" and won't let down the team or they put their hand up and say "I'm no good" then we start another player in that spot.
It's hard to use injury as an ongoing excuse....If Kieran is playing injured he still has to take some responsibility for what he produces when he runs onto the ground.
