Blacktown Workers

Blacktown Workers are about to play their 100th game next weekend since aligning themselves with the Sea Eagles. To date, they've won 28 games from 99 fixtures (winning at 28%).

Some club stats
  • Our for and against over that period is -711 (4.5 seasons)
  • We've had 26.52 points scored against us per game on average
  • We've scored 19.33 points per game on average (not bad at ALL)
  • There are 12 teams. We've come 10th, 9th, last, 10th, currently last (left out the 1 game year)

I may be wrong but it seems that there is a disconnect between out top side and the Blacktown side. It is geographical to some extent and part of the problem may be that one hand is not working in unison with the other hand. Such as the manner we manage the top 30 particularly in respect of the availability of players to Blacktown outside of the starting 17. Being sent to play in Blacktown after having played in the top squad would feel like being exiled and feeling as though your efforts are no longer seen. Playing in Blacktown wouldn't fill the new or younger players with much optimism of being given a shot in the top grade here any time soon. That doesn't provide a lot of motivation.

The Workers have to work more harder than they have been to win more games

They have shown they can score some great tries but they seem to switch off in games Just like our NRL team does

I dont mind the Workers concept . It is good to have another territorial base
