Fatty forgot to even mention Bozo in his 1987 speech. It was only after he got home from the leagues club at around 3 AM and watched a replay of the game did he realise it. He then rang Bozo at about 5 in the morning to apologise. (Edit: according to his book)

Its easy to miss doing things in the heat of the moment. Its not intentional, usually.
