@Phil Blake Had to give you an Ironstine rating, I saw someone else did and dogpiled because I don't know what it is and want to find out. If it's not cool let me know and I'll remove it.

Here's the 'explanation' about the word 'Ironstine.' :)

- "Clearly this user was trying to call us "Einsteins" and attempt to use sarcasm to call us stupid, however in one of the most spectacular backfires in the history of the internet, dear Pontian completely misspelled Eintstein. Whether this was done on purpose, or whether this was done due to stupidity we may never know, but it has spawned a mini phenomena on Silvertails.net and you will often see in multiple threads people being called "Ironstine". It's meaning is obvious and it's impact is hilarity and will go down in the annals as one of the more brilliantly funny terms ever coined on this site.

....It's generally used to sarcastically call someone an idiot, but in a nicer silvertails way so that we don't get two posters 'yelling' abuse at at other for 10 pages.

This was going to be on a silvertails 'meme' page but I can't find it under there. I'm assuming @Dan just got too damn busy to do it! (Not surprised at all.)

Anyway...

:)

@Dan , globaleagle is correct. I went to check it out myself and under the 'Silverails Memes' heading in the 'Site Information' page:

https://silvertails.net/articles/site-information.37/category

the 'Silverails Memes' points to an article about Josh Robinson:

MANLY have won the race to sign one of Australia's most promising young athletes - a freakishly talented 15-year-old with dreams of running at the Olympics and playing NRL.

Star recruit: Josh Robinson at home with his Mum and Dad (Chrissy and Andrew Robinson) has just won 5 Gold medals in the Junior Atheltics in Sydney, and has now signed with Manly Sea Eagles NRL team. Picture: Martinelli David Source: The Sunday Telegraph

Toowoomba speed machine Joshua Robinson won an extraordinary five gold medals in the national junior championships at Homebush last week in the 100m, 200m, 400m, 4x100m and 4x400m.
His time of 49.41sec in the 400m is "absolutely outstanding" according to colleague and athletics guru Mike Hurst.
"To win five gold medals at this level is just freakish," Hurst said.
Manly's recruitment boss Noel "Crusher" Cleal signed the Aboriginal flyer after watching him run at Homebush. It followed a recommendation from the Sea Eagles' Queensland-based talent scout Graham Champnee.

The Broncos, Titans and Cowboys were desperately trying to sign the brilliant young fullback, who has a striking resemblance to a young Greg Inglis.

Robinson plays rugby league for his school, club at representative level and was also selected in the Queensland under-14 merit team.
"You've got to grab a kid like this at 15 or other clubs will beat you to it," Cleal told The Sunday Telegraph.
"We're not going to rush him or put any pressure on him to make a choice between his sports. He'll come down to train with our NRL squad in June to get a feel of the club.
"We understand his immediate goal is to go to the world junior championships in London next year and we're happy to support him."
Robinson said he chose Manly ahead of their NRL rivals because the club was so relaxed about him continuing his dream of running at an Olympic Games.
"I want to qualify for the world youths next year and at the moment it looks like I'll get there with the times I'm doing," he said.
"I play club and rep league in Toowoomba at the moment, but I'm thinking about having a year off next year to concentrate on running.
"At the moment, athletics is number one.
"I'd love to make the Olympics and then see what happens. I could play in the NRL after that.
"I signed with Manly because they were happy for me to do athletics over league at this stage of my life.
"Melinda Gainsford-Taylor being on the Manly board helped, too. She'll be an inspiration to me."
Robinson signed a three-year deal with the Sea Eagles and is considering moving to Sydney to go to school on the northern beaches next year.
He is also a beautifully polite youngster, who insisted on thanking those who have helped him in sport.
"Before you go, do you mind mentioning a few people in the story," he asked. "My parents, Graham Champnee [the talent scout] for helping with my signing and my coach, Neil McCoy. And Crusher for going over to Homebush to watch and support me. I'd like to thank them all."

I hope that you still have a copy of the correct memes page article so that the link can be fixed. :)

In here isn't the only place where Brown's spot in the side is continually questioned. Read some of the Manly pages on Facebook sometime. I swear there has not been such an unpopular player with Manly fans.

You forget Jye Mullane, one of the most criticised ever!!

Cutting to the chase. We (The Silvertails) otherwise known as the selection committee hereby announce to Lewis Brown - YOUR SACKED! We do not require your services.

There is better value in spending your pay packet on a few extra hot dog stands at Brookvale Oval.

Just upped the memes page https://silvertails.net/pages/silvertails-memes/

Thanks for that. I did not know the whole "Mullane" story.

Interesting!
It needs to be updated I'll set that page up as a wiki page and allow all members past x posts submit edits but I'll have to write the code

Well....you do have a lot of spare time these days, I guess.

Haha I know right.
I think I can on-sell the code so I'll cash back on it but I'm not sure when I'll be able to write it

Quite frankly it's Barrett's fault that Brown cops so much criticism on here because he continually picks him in the 17 when his form does not warrant selection. Clearly TB doesn't have plans to stay at Manly long term.

The arithmetic amongst us can correct me but with Snake and Skivvi injured we are reduced a top 23.

By my simple count we have so far used 24 players. This means we have already dipped into our 2nd tier budget..

Given that we will at some stage we want to play Parker, the new big guy, Jamil, etc,

Barrett is playing to a very limited player roster. It could be a case of if he brings in the big guy, that ends Jamil's hopes for the year. Brown like last year may be locked in a bit.

Yep, Woodsie - as the great Bill Fay once sang, "But have you got, have you really got, anyone to replace them?" He was singing about leaders of all nations, but the same applies to Lewis Brown. Like it or not, we're stuck with him for the time being.
