It's probably a bit of both, minimising risk, give Turbo a rest and fire up the defence in preparation for the finals. Tom is probably worth 24+ points but I think we can still do it. Add Chez, Schuster and Jake to the team that lost to Canberra last time and its a very different result.

Probably, but he was improving in the position at the end of last year. Maybe he'll start and either swap with Garrick or be replaced by Walker at some point in the match.

It was. We were waiting for the new season to start.

Good news for Funa he gets a run, I think he is our best back up at fullback in the squad, Garrick had one good game there this season and the following game he played fullback he was a bit flat.

I think they will swap positions. Garrick will play fullback.

He had an indifferent game against them Rd 17, when Turbo and DCE were out so maybe Des is having a strategy shift. Round 17 with Papalii and Wighton out we were $1.25 To $4.50 favourites and had our heads handed to us 16-30

• 5 test matches for Australia (3 vs Great Britain, 2 vs France – 1990 Kangaroo Tour)
• 4 Origins for NSW (1 in 1990, 3 in 1991)
• 2 Kangaroo Tour games (vs Wakefield Trinity and Cumbria – 1990)
• 1 time for NSW City (1990)

Edit: For the record, they were 9-3 as team mates. They lost the first test against Great Britain on the 1990 Kangaroo Tour at Wembley, and lost the first and third Origin games in 1991.

Personally, I would have blooded Koula back when Tom was first out and brought him in each time Tom missed a game and left Garrick on the wing.

Des doesn’t readily change things. Regardless of Garrick not being the greatest last time, I think he will stick with him.
