BULLDOGS chief executive Raylene Castle insists her club is not chasing off-contract Manly star Daly Cherry-Evans, but cannot say the same for his offsider, Kieran Foran.

The future of the Sea Eagles' star halves has been a big talking point ahead of season 2015, as both enter the final year of their respective contracts.

Manly's chances of securing both players are slimming with every passing day and talk they can earn upwards of $1 million a season.

Manly has tabled its final offers to the pair and hopes to have the future of both players settled before round one of the NRL season, but that seems unlikely.

The Gold Coast and Cronulla were thought to be the only clubs chasing Cherry-Evans, but a metropolitan newspaper subsequently reported that Bulldogs coach Des Hasler wanted one last crack at the Queensland halfback.

Castle, who was at Twin Waters yesterday for a women's leadership seminar during the Queensland Rugby League administration conference at the resort this weekend, said the Bulldogs had no interest in Cherry-Evans.

"I can categorically say we have had no discussions with Cherry-Evans' management," Castle said.

"I rang the journalist who wrote that article because there is no truth to that article at all."

However, Castle's assertive nature quickly changed when Foran's name was mentioned.

The Bulldogs, Parramatta and the Warriors have all confirmed their interest in the No.6.

"Kieran has not made any decisions about where he is at and has made it very clear that his future is at Manly until he makes any decisions around any change," Castle said.

"We think our halves (Origin duo Trent Hodkinson and Adam Reynolds) are doing a great job."

I really think the club were really stupid by allowing the two halves contracts to be up at the same time. They should have given DCE another year to offset the 2 when he was upgraded. Its a bloody ridiculous situation.

There it is in bold and black quoted from another club's CEO. He's not signed with anyone else, he hasn't decided to move on and sees his future at Manly. All this other white noise bull**** needs to cease. Both DCE & Foran see themselves as Manly first and foremost and it will take a lot to get either of them out of Manly.
