The issue of a "leak" pales in significance to Kapersky threatening to run.

The club leaks are an issue for another time - fact is Zorba went out and called Sidney a 'garden gnome' in a public forum.

Dan did you ever think that it might have been a member of the press 'leaking' the information to Kaspersky so as to get a reaction/some more mud to throw at our club?

To me that would seem the most likely scenario and it is quite possible that the response by Kaspersky was far less reactionary than reported. Had they agreed to sign on and then reneged over Zorba's comments it would be news-worthy. As it stands I think that it is most likely the information was put to Kaspersky by someone in the media and they have run with an exaggerated response which may have been as simple as 'there are a few things we need to discuss before we commit to this sponsorship'.

These are just my thoughts - not saying that things didn't go down another way.

Another one of my thoughts is that Zorba is a dinosaur and needs to move on. He has been a great servant of the club but now looks like a player going one or two years too long.

I dont know which is worse. The constant threads with news articles about bickering board members or the constant Des threads. I have a dream, that one day we will all talk about the footy and not the big headed f***wits who are making up stories in the media or board members who think thet are bigger than the club or ex coaches who quite frankly I dont give a rats arse about. A sponsor is just that a sponsor, they do not have a decision based interest in this business, though they do have a right to withdraw funds if they think their brand has been damaged.

And why wouldn't Kaspersky have every right to make their displeasure known if they want to, and however they want to?

If Zorba wants to call a journalist a good sort, or Sidney a garden gnome, that is entirely his right. And if he does, others have a right to take their actions too.
