2015 Dick Smith NRL Auckland Nines GAME DAY THREAD

It's absolutely unnecessary and ridiculous to criticise the team and/or players based on the 9's format.
Some observations I have made are as follows;

* Gutherson has a wonderful presence on the field
* Turbo has speed to burn and moves beautifully, however defence tells me that he needs another year to ply his trade before he plays FG
* Brayden Williame is lightening fast
* Starling looks fitter than last year
* Leary has a good dig

Who do you think is quicker , Turbo or Williame ?

Who's really worried about this tournament.I actually don't even remember who won it last year.I thought we attacked & defended ok in these 2 games.

Yeah I agree with Ryan , d&e and Foran didn't lose those games but they sure didn't play like 1.2 million dollar a year game breakers either..... They only have themselves to blame....... Positives are Tom t, Leary, and no4 was quick with size. Negatives are chee kam, hasson,and Mateos...hasson reversing like a truck and Mateo looked very uninterested.

Who do you think is quicker , Turbo or Williame ?

good question. When Williame took off it was like lightening and I think he'd have Tom over 30m, but the way Trbo keep his speed and ran so smoothly, I think he would have Brayden over a distance of more than 30m.

I was also impressed with Gutherson's speed in running down Eto Nabuli...the big Fijian has been touted as one of the fastest in the league, but Gutho reeled him in over 35m.

I didn't watch any of it yesterday but watching the Dragons game now it's clear they didn't train for this at all and really, why bother.

Note: Are they trying Gutherson as a 5/8?

I saw 1 comparing what Thurston does compared to the our 2. How many GFs has Thurston led the Cowboys too again ? And he was the main reason they went down 24-0 quickly last year

Good atmosphere at the games. Tonight should be a fairly big night in town, casino will be pumping. Was there last night and saw the likes of Buettner and co there
