True, it was a case of the 2 best teams going at it, made for a great game of footy, but it won’t be norm, there will be far too many hidings dished out and lopsided results this year, maybe there should be 2 GF’s under a new 2 tier system top 8 bottom 8, give the have nots something to play for towards the end of the year, the bottom 8 play as a reserve grade feature to the main games through the semis to the tier 2 GF.

If they keep adding teams the divide will get worse, but working on the current 16 I think maybe it’s time to start looking at two conferences.

Top 8 play each other.

Bottom 8 play each other

Top 4 from Top 8 go through to finals.

Top team from bottom 8 go’s through to finals.

5 team finals competition not 8.

Next year.

The bottom team of the top 8 drops down to the bottom conference , the top team of the bottom 8 escalates to the top 8.

More even games.

Something for the bottom 8 to work towards.

Yep and how about cap compensation for the tier 2 teams to help them attract some talent and go some way towards evening up the comp, not a stupid idea, anything that stops the top clubs having an unfair advantage has to be worth a look.

Melbourne were also missing a few stars, such as Harry Smith, Kafusi, Pap Smear (to go along with their losses from the 2020 premiership winning team Smith, Tino, Vuluvalu. . . and yet their "lesser-known" reserves stepped up.
Bellache is an amazing coach. He gets the maximum performance out of each player.

How about the top 4 in the bottom conference have a finals system to dictate who is promoted ? Bit like the English Soccer. Adds some excitement for lower grade teams during the finals.

Interesting that the Storm have their starting 1 & 9 out (like us), yet are competing with the best team(s) in the comp.

• Brenko Lee (hamstring, round 4)
• Felise Kaufusi (suspension, round 5)
• Dale Finucane (calf, round 5)
• Harry Grant (knee, round 5-6)
• Max King (Achilles, round 8-10)

Different coach I guess. But more injuries than us, the main difference is they don't make up excuses, and loaf about.

And they have good replacements available. Whereas we have ‘rocks and mostly diamonds’ Dylan and ‘oh **** i dropped the soap’ Lachlan

Still major inconsistencies in the six again calls, I got the impression they were being given to get one or the other out of trouble at certain stages, almost like he was trying to ensure a close contest
