With Seibold as a coaching director. One can only assume Mestrov is advising Billy in the coaching box, how else could QLD have lost?
To be fair NSW never got out of second gear. If they click expect a record score in game two.Gould, Johns and other Blues commentators need to shut the fu*k up. NSW has this habit of getting carried away, saying Qld can't win, we're unbeatable, blah blah blah and then we all know what happens. Save the gloating , big talk for after winning the series not before ya fu*king pot plants.
Yer, but that’s footy mate, we all know that’s a tough carry off your own line in Origin at Lang Park yep I’ll call it Lang park against QLD chasing points before halftime, I don’t hold that against Trell. I thought his defence was excellent, his a must have in any rep side, he just brings that X factor and intimidation. Young’s lost ball down the other end was worse pushing a play that wasn’t on and not necessary.True but his lost ball cost us a try.
QLD pushed the 10 metres all night and got away with it.Nanai was way offside when he tackled Trell
I do think it is heading that way unfortunately… Origin was built on hate and the powers that be have let the people that would never follow rugby league anyway get into their head…Origin died when they cracked down on the biff. It’s just a regular game now.
Pushed? They were clearly offside multiple times - particularly on early tackles down NSW’s end of the field…QLD pushed the 10 metres all night and got away with it.
Absolutely, they pushed the envelope all game and I thought Klein did an ordinary job without worrying about him too much.Pushed? They were clearly offside multiple times - particularly on early tackles down NSW’s end of the field…
Thankfully Klein pulled up the laying in the ruck early because they came out with spoiling tactics…

Yep, Latrell puts the effort in on the big stage, it's at club level that he's inconsistent & goes missing.I am a Toia fan and have no doubt he is a star… but I would give the points decision to Trell (who I am not a fan of) tonight…
No matter how much I dislike Trell, that boy is a beast when you put a blue jersey on him…
Can't see any changes after that quite dominant performance. As good as NSW were I'd consider making two changes to the side for SOO2.
1. Dropping T'oo for a taller winger, such as Marky Mark. T'oo is a good player but if Queensland has one advantage it is with the jumping ability of Coates (and Cobbo, who should also be brought into the maroons team).
2. Dropping King. He was solid but is little more than a workhorse. Imagine another powerhouse in the NSW pack like May? They would be fearsome.
I think NSW will stick with its squad, but imo these two changes would make NSW even more dominant.
I agree it’s not a great idea to go off too early, but there was a distinct lack of positivity about that QLD performance. Sure they can get better but honestly NSW looked WAY better - and they were nowhere near their best. Game 1 of the series is always a more dour affair. Will be interesting to see how much each team can improve. I’m betting NSW will have more improvement in them. Time will tell though.Gould, Johns and other Blues commentators need to shut the fu*k up. Can’t agree with those changes. I thought King was very good in his debut. Bent the line back most times he took it up and was extremely solid in defence. Did not look out of place in SOO, IMO. Agree that To’o is vulnerable under the high ball, but in every other aspect of his game he is very good - especially in those yardage carries - invaluable. If anything they could think about adding Toupou in instead - got the height and his yardage game is also excellent. But barring injury, i doubt they will.As good as NSW were I'd consider making two changes to the side for SOO2.

Qld was stuck in neutral! Never write them off mate. NSW & cock jockeys like Johns, Gould etc. have a habit of carrying on about how great NSW is yet who has won the most series? The fanfare should wait until the series is over!To be fair NSW never got out of second gear. If they click expect a record score in game two.
