Gee how interesting...Tigers selected no front rowers on the bench(2 edge backrowers,a middle backrower and Idris) and guess what happened? They looked good for the first 20 minutes, then got tired and Panthers rolled in 3 quick tries.Started second half well and then got tired fast and got rolled over by the Panthers.Fatigue led to mental errors and dropped ball and Moses and Brooks made bad decisions, errors and looked crap. The side is not crap, nor the players, pick a bench that can continue to make yards up the middle and share the workload and continue the good work of the starting forwards(you don't need just huge impact players like Vave).Does it sound familiar?
Unfortunately it does.. mate who should we go after next season I believe what needs to be bought and taufua sacked. As for forwards woods? I don't know who's off contract maybe make a play for talmololo. should go gone for Vaughn and Barnett when we had the chance and kept buhrer. ahhhrgh

Smokin you musn't have been at the game yesterday but let me explain. After the first 12 minutes we were gassed all game.
Perhaps bringing on unlimited interchange might help?
NYEagle
And today the Tigers looked gassed at the 20 minute mark and never got it back. When you get no go forward from your interchange the whole game changes.

Bring Lussick,Taupau,AFB back in and the development of Bainbridge,Amone and Hopoate being reinstated and I think our forwards look instantly better.Woods looked like rubbish today by the way.....

We can't do much about this year although I agree with trying Hastings at hooker.
Next year I would let Api, Dylan Walker and Nate myles go. With the the money from those players plus Brett Stewart an Matai I would buy Taumalolo,Dean whare, Arron Woods and Tedesco.
I would also remove Barrett as Manly need a coach that has played for Manly and can restore the culture. Des or Ivan Cleary would be the coach I would pick.
lol whare talmololo woods is what I suggested tedesco is not needed and wouldn't come if we got woods

I cannot knock Cullen for having a red hot crack but he was out of his depth. He is the new Parcell; excel in the 9's, get casual footy fans interested, can do no wrong, Cullen for PM.

A lot of our supporters have it in for Koroisau and will blindly cheer for anyone to replace him, but Cullen is not the answer. I watched everything he did yesterday with a keen eye and his service makes Koroisau look like Cam Smith. I also watched him closely in defence and this is where he really struggled. Our middle was "open for business" and he was beaten all ends up by George Burgess. Sure, he played with enthusiasm and rushed out of the line to force that mistake, but everything else he did in defence was sub-par.

OK, many of you don't like Koroisau but open your ****in eyes and watch the game; Cullen was ****e.

I agree with you to an extent, trial hastings at hooker and see how he performs I would keep Api as back up hooker if hastings succeeds just so we have some depth in that position. Dylan walker when he turns up hes a gun but he is also inconcistent so that's a hard one to pick whether to let go or not. Nate myles is a no brainer ! 500k a year for that ugly mug who spends most of his time showing his age in the game hobbling around he is deffinately past his time ! we do not need experience like him to motivate the younger forwards they can get that from marty. I would remove barrett 100% he has done two full player clean outs which he shouldn't have done to the extent that he did. Manly wont go for Tedesco they have too much faith in tommy even though he could be a killer fullback/centre comination and we should never have let dean whare go! along with hiku!

I seen Cullen looks like a kid in under 11s trying to pass. Is that really our second choice ?

Ballin might have been slow, but knew how and when to pass, assuring ball promotion at the right moment . Api has no football brain, which the No,9 must have.,...ala Cam smith .

Look point here is we all are one eyed lunatics. The club surely new of difficulties bozo had with what was right and loyalty to his boys but when they played.
We back here again seems everyone Fulton has a job club only has themselves to blame. Bozo simply ruining his legacy he created.

Getting to my first game of the year live a few things stood out for me:

- Our kicking game is the worst in the comp, the whole she bang, bombs & grubbers (regularly putting no pressure on the opposite team, going touch in goal), yardage kicks (straight down the throats and minimal distance gained), dropouts (DCE has the shortest dropout in the comp), goal kicking (massive factor on Saturday if we hit those first 3 goals bunnies are looking at 18-0 down as opposed to a more comfortable 12-0 down) in this professional day and age there is no excuse for not getting these right

- Passing game, so often I saw players catching balls behind them and it was passes from our whole spine

- Tom Trobjevic has a lot learn, makes way too many soft, errors and attempts at tackles, positional play needs to improve drastically. He doesn't understand the role of the fullback, he offers no playmaking assistance, in good ball he regularly gets into the first line of attack as opposed to the second line. Very similar to Dugan and we know how well that has worked for the Dragons.

These things can very easily be fixed and will make a huge difference to our results.

You've been clinging to this garbage for 18 months about Korisau and you miss the point. Cullen may not be the answer but one thing we know for sure is that Korisau ISNT or haven't you been watching the garbage we get dished up every week. He is simply the worst hooker in the comp at a club that has no specialist hookers which is a disgrace in itself.

I KNOW we are going nowhere with Korisau so I have no problem at all with experimentation with Cullen and Hastings. What have we to lose. We are getting pasted every week anyway.Yiu have noticed we have lost 7!in a row with the master API wearing his magic haven't you .

What we actually need is to find a competent specialist booker on the market ASAP for next season. Make no mistake about it. We are in a dogfight for the spoon and need something different.

Strange logic...

Replace the worst hooker in the comp with a guy who is not a hooker and who showed us on Sunday that he is worse than the worst hooker in the comp?

Ok, you want something different and that's fine. However, it obvious on Saturday that Cullen's service is inferior to API and he kept getting stood up in the middle of the ruck. A couple of times he was left clutching at nothing more than an ankle to hang on.

I am not defending API and I'm not saying we aren't in dire straits but i can't swallow this idea that Cullen was good on the weekend...he was out of his depth.

I thought Manly looked more structured in their play when Cullen came on before halftime. He generally passes more directly than the other bloke. They erred badly when they kicked out Ballin. Then backed it up by ditching Parcell.

Korisau looks like a good impact player, who can make good ground when the opposition are tiring, a bit like Dunley.

Personally I like Cullen; however, he is not a 9. He was worse than Api from a ball distribution perspective and our plays broke down. He came on playing at a 100 miles per hour and I think that led to some eratic passing. He is a half and if he is to be given a proper crack at first grade then it's as a 6.

Api is not the answer and never was, and I agree with @susan that other options are needed. For this year I would like Hastings to get a shot in the halves.

I would prefer to give Hastings the 6 jersey and Lussick the 9 jersey and give them 4 rounds to show something.

If reputations mean nothing and Barrett's claim that he is happy to take a risk is true, then my full strength team is:

1. T Turbo
2. Uate
3. Parker
4. Kelly
5. Schuster
6. Hastings
7. DCE
8. D Lussick
9. J Lussick
10. Taupau
11. Bainbridge
12. Sironen
13. J Turbo
--------------------
14. Hopoate (Utility)
15. Perrett
16. AFB
17. Lawrence
---------------------
18. Myles
19. Tafua
20. Cullen
21. Lane
22. Amone
23. Koroisau
24. Walker
25. M Wright

Now this is a team that gets me excited - the current team simply will not get us into the 8. If we aren't going all out for the 8 then why bother turning up.

2nd tier restrictions might apply, but I'd love to get as close to this team as possible.

Go all out for Taumalolo and Nofoaluma for 2018.
